7 steps to easy self storage

1. decide how much space you need

Your first step is to decide on the amount of space you require for short or long term storage. This will depend on the volume of items you need to self store and also on the type of goods concerned, for instance, whether you have large items or smaller ones which can be stacked or placed on shelves. We have storage rooms starting at 25 square foot and going right up to 200 square foot. Use our size estimator to look at what size of self storage units will suit your needs.

2. call us for a quote 01379 855203

We are happy to assist you with estimating how much self-storage space you will need, and if you wish, you can visit our site to see the units in order to help you decide which room would better suit your needs. Our charges start from £65.18 per month for a 25 square foot room. There is a minimum usage period of one month, and then stay as long as you need. You will only pay for the storage you require, subject to a one month’s’ notice period.

3. order your boxes and packing materials

A full range of items are available from our packaging shop. Please call us on 01379 855203 to place your order ready for collection. Or alternatively local deliveries can be made*. We have boxes, furniture covers, mattress covers, tape, bubble wrap and much more.

4. set up payment

There are various easy options to pay for your storage facilities including Visa and MasterCard payments. Although the most common payment method is by standing order allowing for regular monthly payments to cover the costs of your self-storage room. Details regarding the standing order will be provided to you when you sign up.

5. pack up and bring your belongings

There are 3 choices to consider when arranging for storage space rental with us. You can bring your items yourself using your own transport or ask us to collect them, for a charge. Once on site, you can unload all of your belongings in our enclosed foyer and then use our trolleys to transport everything into your storage room. We are also happy to offer an on-site porter service from £25 per hour, which is available if you require assistance with transporting larger items. Please contact us for further information about this service, which needs to be arranged with us in advance.

6. access your belongings

You are free to come and go as you please during our open hours. Your individual key fob will gain entry to the self-storage facility, currently open between the hours of 8am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Access outside of these hours is by special arrangement only. 

7. when you are ready, collect your belongings

The options for this are the same as for bringing your items into storage. You can either collect them yourself, all at once or in stages, hire a van, or ask us to deliver to your chosen location.

The many advantages of arranging self storage with us include on-site facilities such van hire, a box shop and trolleys, plus the fact that we have a forklift service available. You will also have key fob entry and we offer a porter service and out of hours service if required. Yet another advantage is that we are a cheaper option for secure storage than big city storage companies (charges apply) .
