Leeds, England’s third largest city, has the biggest legal market and the largest financial centre outside London. Other major focuses of employment are manufacturing, retail, call centres, and the media. It also has a major student population with three universities including the University of Leeds.

Leeds attracts visitors from the surrounding region for shopping, as it has number of indoor complexes including the indoor market and the Victoria Quarter, where luxury clothing stores such as Louis Vuitton can be found. Other tourist draws include the city museum, and cathedral. Outside Leeds is Harewood House, a stately home with large grounds and a bird garden.

The City of Bradford encompasses places such as East and West Morton, Cullingworth, Cottingley, Shipley, Keighley, Denholm, Ilkley, Bingley, and Bradford, which has half a million residents. Major industries include wool and textiles, IT, financial services, tourism, retail and environmental technologies. The population has expanded rapidly in recent years, although half of Bradford is green space, covering part of the Airedale and Wharfedale Valleys. The metropolitan borough lies close to the Dales and the Peak district, which makes it a hotspot for tourism.

The City of Bradford has a wealth of history with nearly 6,000 listed buildings. The model Victorian village of Saltaire, built by industrialist Sir Titus Salt, was instrumental in town planning and attracts visitors from all over the world.
